ASSIGNMENT
1. What nonconformist chapels were
located in Duffield, Derbyshire in 1866?
2. Which religious congregations in
Duffield, if any, turned in pre-1837 registers to the Public Record Office, and
what are the call numbers of any such records?
1. Enoch Morris was christened in
Lancashire on 14 Mar 1796. Find the original record of his christening and
record what it says (or attach photocopy with entry highlighted). Hint: Use the
IGI.
2. Edwin DAWES of London and Sarah
JACKSON of Buckinghamshire are in Boyd's Marriage Index. Find the 1827
reference in Boyd=s and use what you know to find the source. Find their exact
marriage date, place of marriage and the names of their parents. Where is Sarah
from? (Use the digests). Record the information below. If you have problems,
record what you did.
3. Find Methodist Caroline Bond, born
about 1778, in the index, the abstracts, and then find the actual certificate.
Do not use the IGI. Record below the film number and the information
received FROM EACH STEP below.
