1. Using the appendix of the Mining Districts Report from the Commissioners, 1845 (see Vol. 1 of the IUP volume marked Mining Districts), what does it say about Hemsley Fletcher and his education?

2. Locate information for Droxford and Fareham Unions in chart form at the end of Edwin Chadwick, Esq.'s evidence in the 4th report of the 1847 session concerning Poor Law. What did you learn about George Page? Do you find anything in the index that would have led you to find George Page? What subjects in the index did you look under?

3. Evidence relating to Honoria Hickey, a pauper, is found in Vol. 22 of the Report of the Select Committees on Poor Removal (Poor Law series). What do we know about Honoria (birth, marriage, emigration, information about her husband and children, etc.) from the testimony given?

4. Using Peter Cockton's indexes (see the bibliography in the write-up), see what you can find for one area of personal interest to you. Jot down something you would find interesting to look at in the Parliamentary Papers on microcard at the U. or BYU if you ever had the chance.
